Today is the last day of class...
So... today is the last day of class...
The weather is great, and the people are different...
The people around me looks tired...
maybe because of the ongoing and upcoming exams...
maybe because of the party yesterday night...
maybe because of the PAINTED mile run (was changed from NAKED mile run) yesterday night... maybe because of lack of sleep catching up with the drama series...
maybe because they are just tired...

so, wazzup people???
now that u guys need something to stimulate ur clogged and clouded mind...

here's a brainteaser...

QUOTE(from a forum, which was quoted from another blog(which i think quoted from another source)):

Safe sex

There are 2 guys and 2 girls. The 2 guys want to f*ck the 2 girls (ie each guy screws both girls) but there is a problem ... There are only two condoms available. Use the condoms any way you want - reuse, flip it, etc - but you cannot wash it.

No body fluids can be exchanged (even girl-girl or guy-guy exchanges), else the sex would not be considered safe from STDs.

How can the task be done?
"UNQUOTE"
Hopefully this question will keep ur juice flowing... not THAT juice... but ur BRAIN juice...

got it?

I should be studying right now... with 4 FINALS in the span of 3 days looming ahead... from 25 April - 27 April... and with an iPod photo at stake... my bro promised to get me one if I get a 4.0 GPA for this semester, so, i should really be studying my ASS off right now...

BUT WHY am I typing my way here? Well, because the weather is too nice for me to study(not a reason because I'm staying indoor typing crap here...) Actually, because I'm too bored, sitting at the front desk, waiting for people to come and buy stamps, envelopes, asking for TP(toilet paper that is), trash bags, sorting mail, issuing temporary card to those who locked themselves out of their own room...silly ain't they? human invented lock to prevent others from entering their room, while these people do a much better job in preventing themself from entering their own room and get fined by me at the mean time...adding funds to the already rich University... all those seemed to be trivial but actually VERY important task...

try to imagine if i wasn't here to give out toilet paper.. how are U going wipe ur S after crapping?? don't tell me, I DON'T want to know...

another situation, if i wasn't here, and u locked urself out.... and u need to grab ur assignment in ur room, which is due in 30 minutes time... so, where are u going to ask for help??

See how omnipotent I am... muahaha...

damn, i can sense that i'm getting lamer and lamer each day... hopefully others' level of tolerating lameness is increasing as fast as my level of lameness increment...

so, i should really sign off now.... and see you guys later...

ciao...

take care and peace out....

My Freshman Year coming to an END...soon.. really soon
Damn... I'm getting attached to this place already... My freshman year is coming to an end in less than a week time... and then there's my finals and *poof*... my freshman year vanishes into the thin air... at least it is thin warm air at this time of the year...

Time really flies... I still remember exactly the day I left Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), with my family and frens seeing me off on Aug 23, 2004... and now, it's almost 8 months I'm here in a foreign land... far from home... but really, i LOVE this place... Ann Arbor is just wonderful and magical in so many ways... U must come here and live it to believe it...

Although everybody is looking forward to the Spring and Summer holiday, me too... but as others (many of them) are heading home and all, I'm staying back for classes and also for dunno wat... really... i've yet to plan for my entire summer semester... I've no plan about what to do, but i'm pretty sure wat not to do... taking classes is definitely on my NO LIST.... so, any suggestions??

just had my haircut at Aveda 2 days ago... it's an institution... so, i'm kinda risking my hair... making myself a guinea pig... and paying $14 for it... but the end result is beautiful...i mean i like the hair cut a lot... and prior to the haircut, the massage is not bad... but the only thing i will not want them to do next time is applying abundant amount of hair product on my hair... well, abit of wax is fine... but i think she applied 1 scoop of it... and the fragrance of the hair wax choked me for a good 4-5 hours... before i can go back to my room and wash it off... i got kinda dizzy and can't really function properly... so i ended up crawling up to bed before midnight... (that's a really rare occasion... i can't remember when was the last time i slept before 12 midnight...)
so, now, i'm a spikey... well at least i don't have to deal with 1 pound of hair... dangling in front of my forehead... and .... well.. all the maintenance... and management... might as well just cut them all once and for all.... no problem...

and i just lost my job for the Spring and Summer semester... dang... well not really, i wasn't even hired yet... so, can't really say that i lost the job... just that i was too optimistic... thinking that i will be hired no matter wat... too bad... as they are too many of us applying for the same job, and the customer service center is only operating for a shorter hours.... increase in demand, decrease in supply... therefore, the shortage... (UNEMPLOYMENT)....

lame... well, i'm just going to look for another job... maybe it will be better for me to work several jobs and get good references... i hope...

so, that's all for now....

take care...

The weather is great... but thunderstorm ahead...
Finally, Spring has come... birds are chirping, insects are crawling... and people are sunbathing.... woohoo...

the weather is great.... Sun is shining brightly, people are spending time outdoor.... many discussions are held outdoor... people in Ann Arbor are able to enjoy SPRING at last...

but... such nice weather isn't going to last long.... coz Thunderstorm is going to loom Ann Arbor later today, and it is forecasted that it is going to snow of Saturday.. WTF....

I want sunshine... i want warm but breezy weather... i want to wear sandals, t-shirt and shorts... i want to enjoy the weather... after 4 months of hiding in door, and wearing thick and bulky jacket...

i want to jog outdoor, play tennis, and all... frisbee...

so, rain rain go away.... and let me enjoy the weather and the 'view' once again...

wooohooo.... the next exam is 1 month away
hi peeps... my midterms are finally over... they are now history... yeah... great history of mine... so, i'm gonna chill out for the moment being... at least for another 2 weeks or so before laboring myself in Math, Econs and Astronomy again..

such feeling is sooooo good... u know, the feeling after u know that midterms are finally over, the feeling that u can be yourself again, the feeling that u dun have to study when u dun feel like studying... u know what i mean???

first off, i would like to take this opportunity to wish my friends Happy Birthday.... lots of them... March seems to be a popular month for birthday...
well starting from March 18th is my dear senior Elaine... her 21st birthday.... and then another senior, Seow Yuen, on March 20th also 21st birthday... and then, Keng Yang, March 22nd, 20th birthday, and then Ren Jie, on March 25th, his 20th birthday, and then back to another senior, Wei Heong, March 26th, his 21st birthday.... wooohoooo, let's celebrate...
Happy Birthday to all the B'day boys and girls... may all ur wishes come true...

ok, now, back to me...reading back my posts, i kinda shocked becoz i can't believe that i can Bitch so much crap... i can lament on so much things for so many pages... darn... see, i'm lamenting again...STOP IT....

oh yar, yesterday, Ann Arbor was a hilarious place to be... becoz of the Tutors(Graduate Student Instructor, GSI in short) strike... wat's hilarious is that their picket lines are pathetic... i think their plan of trying to have picket lines at every entrance of every freaking building in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor campus will never work becoz of the number of buildings and huge number of entrance... in the end, each entrance has about 7-8 GSI (most of them in their late 20s or early 30s), walking in circles, holding up signs and chanting something.... and that's all... try to imagine that happening to every entrance of the campus building.... it's hilarious... it's da bomb... it's a sight...

i wanted to take some pics of them picketing, but thinking that it's nothing special, just funny... so i was just too lazy to take my camera out from my bag and snap a few shots... sorry guys... but trust me, IT IS FUNNY....

what else to rant on??? oh yar, my elder bro, Gary will be seating for his very last exam for his Bachelor Degree.... yeah... after this exam (within 12 hours), he will be a free man... and damn, he will be going to Penang for a short holiday, and enjoy all the food and all, well, my eldest bro is going to pick him up, so, meaning both of them will be there, while i'll be here in Ann Arbor, few thousands miles away, 13 hours of timezone difference, (going to be 12 timezones difference soon...)

Spring is around the corner...well it shld be Spring by now... but well, Ann Arbor... dun u just luv a place where there's only 2 seasons, cold season and warm season... forget about spring... forget about autumn... hahaha... but, to tell u the truth, i do really fell in love with this town, this city... this Ann Arbor...

for the past few days, the temperature has been rising slowly but steadily.... SPRING is here... no more thick winter jacket.... but the wind is still quite tormenting... i still need my windbreaker though... but i'm cool with that... later, i'll have my revenge on u...(jackets and sweaters....) i'll pack u up so fast and tight and chuck u somewhere so hidden that u won't be able to see daylight for months.... u hear that.... muahahahaha.....

other than that... just to keep u guys updated.... dunno why, but i can't help but counting the days i'm here in the States... it has been 7 months since I first stepped into this wonderful country... there's this great feeling which i can't put into words.... not that i dun missed home and friends back in Malaysia... but... well.... told u that i can't put it in words...

so, that's all for now... take care... drop by always....

peace out

It's been awhile
Hi everybody, wazzup...

how's everything going?

it's been awhile... really.... almost a month since my last post...

i have been really busy ... well... busy sleeping for the past weeks, and busy studying for the upcoming midterms... i hate my schedule... all my midterms are always together... 3 midterms in 2 days... WTF....

so, let me iterate everthing starting from Spring break... which was from 26 Feb til 6 Mar...

so, i started my spring break... almost ended it too by working as a bus proctor... well i just like check students who are boarding the bus whether or not they have thier tickets, if not, they will have to purchase ticks from me... and that's it... and it's interesting as i met some really nice ppl... funny ppl too... i worked for two Sat, 02/26 and 03/05 ....

other than that... i did some readings... like Dan Brown's.. wanted to read some George Orwell, but was too lazy to start... other than that, caught up with my sleep... alas, 10 hours sleep a day... after much 4-5 hours sleep days... well... but i had hard time sleeping that long... kept waking up every 30 minutes... really hated it.... but can't help it... well, have to blame it on my curtain too... it's white and it's thin.... need to get thicker curtain next time...

so, what other interesting stuff happened during my spring break... well basically not much... did had great time eating Bak Kut Teh(chinese herb soup with pork... Thanks Elaine....my wonderful senior with exceptional culinary skills...

other than that... my frens from Rochester Institute of Technology... the 3 birdies came to visit...
they seemed to like the big campus here... i love it too....

spring break really flies by, so fast and classes restarts.... and 2 months of it.... and worst still, going at a greater speed (or izzit velocity???).... (reads lame attempt in cracking joke)...

so, other than that, did i mention that i'm currently working... well not long, just for 2.5 hours weekly... ,minus the tax and everything, i got about $20 every fortnight... not too bad.... enough to cover my cellphone bill.... (hopefully) i'm working at the front desk as an attendant... so basically, my job responsibility includes sorting the mail, dealing with packages, giving out toilet paper, trash bags, answer queries... and that's most of it.... not a bad job.... quite interesting actually...

another think worth mentioning is my housing application...well... first of all, i got a lousy lottery... got a 608 out of 680+... disastrous... my dream of getting a single room near my classes were dashed at the instance i saw my lottery number.... so, in the end, i went to a rather close....(at least much closer to where i'm staying currently) dorm, with a much bigger single room, hopefully, that will compensate my unlucky draw... so, it is a 9 X 16 room, what shld i get for my new room.... hmm... anybody wanna be my interior designer.... one caveat, i'm cheap with expensive taste... haha...well... i think i'll just get some posters, get a carpet, maybe a bean bag, or a single sofa ( if my budget allows me)..... that'll make a not bad room i guess... but i'll only move into that room coming fall.... end of Aug that is...

so.... going down the road... left with last weekend... MY BIRTHDAY.... MY 20th BIRTHDAY to be exact... so, my buddies and I went to a really nice restaurant to have seafood.... AWESOME.... they have some birthday promotion, where the birthday boy/girl gets free meal + free dessert... and the entree was really wonderful.... and the dessert-the chocolate mousse was so rich.... oh my... really indulge it so much.... the aftertaste of the chocolate is just so fulfilling... and really enjoying...

after the dinner, we went to a Praise Night... the performances were great...

so, i'm 20 already... shit... no more TEEN.... thirteen, fourteen, fifteen....... nineteen... and now... twenty... felt really old... wat a transition.... twenty... OMG... with great age, comes great responsibility... ahaha... but, i'm always young at heart...

oh yar.. did some practice for the upcoming SEA cultural night... going to be in 2 performances... the Malay Wedding and the Dikir Barat... the dikir barat practices were fun... and the tune of the clappings stick.... really.... i can't help but kinda repeat it in my mind... over and over again....

that's all for now....

oh yar... congrats to all the SPM and STPM top scorers... and to my frens... know u guys will perform well in it...

take care....

peace out....

Darn... I'm pissed
hey dude.... i'm back... back for good...
it's been awhile since i last said anything worth a cent here...

so, how's everything...cool??

well... last week was a killer... sorry for not keeping u guys posted...so now, here i am, making up for the last week's update...

so what about? one thing worth mentioning was the Chinese New Year Dinner...

After all the midterms last Thursday afternoon... Kai and I went to Meijer (a hypermarket) to get some color papers and stuff for decorating the lounge which we had the CNY dinner on Friday...

so, at night... about 11pm... many of us... (Phua, Ren Jie, Eric, Shi Ting, Jin Ye, Kai and I) started making some paper decorations... like calligraphy , paper crane, paper latern... and stuffs... and we had snack at the sametime... Doritos with Salsa sauce... darn good...

so, we parted at about 2.30am... and called it a day...

the next day... after lugged myself thru all the classes and done went back and slacked... started putting up the decos at about 5.30pm... and waited for ppl to come... and set up some music... and when all the food arrived...(and the ppl bringing them too), we started feasting on all the 'cuisine'...delicacies.... delicious....

after that... (all those eating and mingling...) i took down all the decos.. and threw them away... how nice.... and done with the cleaning up work... i went to my fren's place to play some poker... Texas Hold'em... cool...

played til 1am.... and called it a day at 4am... after watching several series....

well... so Saturday.. and Sunday.... nothing much... just started to plan to do my accumulated HW... and well... manage to do some of it...

so, why am I pissed... well... becoz of my silliness... and also becoz of the marking scheme...
becoz of writing a line of statement at the wrong position... i was penalized... heavily....
how heavily? err.... 12/100 points...

well, this will really teach me a lesson... and i'll never ever forget to write this statement: "T is one to one " at the right place at the right time... darn... i'm so so so so so pissed.... sucks...

so.. wat else... oh yar... i started playing this online game Utopia again, after quitted it like several years ago.. becoz it was too time consuming... it still is... but just that becoz my pal has exams and papers due this week.. so, i'm just helping him out in managing his account... but heck... i'm kinda hooked to the game again.... i'm addicted to all the strategies and stuffs....

guess that's all about it... got to run.... cya peeps...

Another Day, Another Week, Another Month
Hi guys.... how you doing??? hope that everything is fine ...

it's been awhile since i last log in and crap here...

well, well... Last week was a nothing much, so so week. Other than all the usual activities, ie lectures, discussions, table tennis practices, some leisure reading, some homework, a bit too much of watching tv series, there's only something worth mentioning.... The great Sunday Night dinner...

so, what's so great about it? Well, for a cash-strapped-yet-cheap international student, a Sunday night dinner at TGIF was so good... The food was nice, the company were great... everything was so comfortable... what a way to revive my long-dead tastebuds... u know wat, dorm foods kill...

so, since last week have not much to offer, i'll have to start talking about this week....

THIS WEEK: So far so good... why? oh... needless to say... Manchester United kicked ARSE.... i mean Arsenal... Arsenal was beaten by MU 2 - 4, at their home ground.... what more can u ask for?? This victory was like hitting the last nail for Arsenal's coffin for title chase... damn, i felt great when i saw the full time score... muahahahaha...

next week will be a tough one for me.... how bad? 4 midterms in the span of 4 days... 1 for Monday, 2 for Wednesday... and one more for Thursday...

wat makes matter worse is that next Wed is Chinese New Year... yeah... The year of Roaster...(that's what my CNY card reads)... The Year of Rooster....The Year of Cock...

so... wish me luck

take care...

Peace out....

Just another random entry
hey dudes

how's everything? Good??? Great!
anyway... just want to beam everybody up about my last week...

basically, it was just another week... nothing out of ordinary.... mostly ordinary from an extra-ordinary person like me... hehehe... *evil-grin*

have been doing homework, meeting friends from other university, catching up with my WSJ readings... and basically, that's about it... oh yar... not to mention those series that i spent hours watching.... CSI, CSI NY, Alias, 24 and welcome the new member to my list... TILT... and sad to say, i missed the premier of the 3rd season of The Apprentice... but, definitely not going to miss it this week...

well well, i have more life than spending hours watching series... ok. I've been going to all the table tennis practices so far.... so, at least i'm sweating quite a bit in this harsh cold winter...

oh yar... and i did do something meaningful, at least it was meaningful to me... for volunteering to hold the country flag - MALAYSIAN FLAG.... (if you don't already know, it has a name : Jalur Gemilang) in the Tsunami Remembrance Event held last Friday night... it was a simple but meaningful event... starting with some speech from the big shots, then the moment of silence with the participants holding candles, and then end with speeches given by those directly and indirectly affected by the disaster...
The Fox News at 10 estimated about 800 crowd...

it was a long weekend... with Martin Luther King Day on Mon.... making it a 3 days weekend... anyway... on Saturday night, we managed to had great dinner with two visiting friends from University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign (UIUC)...Jet and Billy... so, we had Mongolian BBQ BUFFET... after waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes... we finally got our table.. and since there are 10 of us... we have to seat separately... then, after stuffing our face... we went to the cozy and warm Starbucks to warm ourselves... and chatted about nothing....

so, on Sunday, just did some homework... and same for Monday...

oh yar... today, Jan 18 is my friend Chee Han's birthday... Happy 20th Birthday...May all ur wishes come true...

that's all for now... Take care...

Peace out............

A week of classes... Winter 2005
Hey there...

pls forgive my slowness in my posting regarding my trip to NYC and DC last Christmas and New Year holiday... but, i've been pretty busy with a lot of stuff... including watching series (all the new series like Alias, and 24).... in order for me follow the plot... i need to rush through the previous season.... so, i spent like 15 hours watching series last weekends...

anyway... the semester is fast on the roll... all the classes, lectures and homeworks are coming up fast... have been trying real hard to adapt myself to the new schedule.... and to get rid of my holiday mood...

well well.... Winter semester of 2005.... the weather is not that bad... i think i've really got use to the blistering cold.... the snow... kinda fun to play with... but when it starts to melt... it gets really ugly and dirty...

that's all for now... got to go now... will try to update my posting about the trip ASAP.... see ya soon....

and in case i did left u out in the invitations to my snapfish photo album, pls tell me so at the shoutbox.... if not, i assume that everyone has it....

take care and keep warm....

Boxing Day
hi again... just wanna remind u guys that i'm writing this 2 weeks after the trip... so, they might be some details which i couldn't remember that well... but, i'm trying my very best to describe the trip as entirely as possible...

so, this morning... woke up really really early becoz we did decided to set off early this morning...waited for 30 minutes, and just to know that my friends were still sleeping... after waited for about an hour, we were all ready to go...

so, we set off to the Statue of Liberty... but to get there... first, we took a subway to the South Ferry Station... which is thefinal stop of the 1 and 9 redline... from there, we had to purchase ticket for ferry to get to the Liberty Island and the Ellis Island....

today was the coldest day of the entire NY and DC trip(i can say this after the trip)...it was 19 degree Fahrenheit... this is about -8 Degree Celcius... and this cold is aggravated by the strong wind at the seaside...(river side)... wateever u want to call it....

luckily, we weren't too late as 15 minutes after we were in line... the queue started to build up really quick and it was really a huge line.... oh man... lining up in the cold is not fun...NOT fun at all... in order to keep my toes warm... i tried hard to move them in order to get more blood being transported there....

then, we took a short ferry ride... i think about 10 minutes... to get to the 1st destination, which is the Liberty Island... This is the island which the Statue of Liberty is at... on the Island, we can really see the majestic Statue... so huge... so green... and so green... why izzit green in color??? oh, becoz of the oxidation of the bronze (which covers the entire statue).... after walking around the Island... which is really small actually... took us about an hour... becoz of everyone stopping every few steps to take picture of the statue and of the Manhattan skyline from the Island... group photos... personal photos... sceneries... watever combinations u can think of...

then, we took another ferry from Statue Island to the Ellis Island... This was the Immigration center for all the immigrants from dunno when til 1912 (if my memory is right).... this was where all the immigrants were checked and registered... and everything...

then, we decided to leave and took another ferry ride back to the Manhattan Island... then, we had our lunch at McD...again....

and then.... i screwed up my chronological order... need to go back and check the dates and time of my photos to refresh my memory... up til here for now...
